Lisa Kerr
Lisa Kerr, director of MUSC's Office of the Humanities, finished her tenure as our first poet in residence at the Gibbes Museum of Art on August 31 with a group poetry reading. Her project, called "Dear Human" asked her to connect with figures found in Gibbes paintings in new ways. She wrote a series of poems in the form of letters to the figures, each starting with the greeting "Dear Human."
